Why BudgetBeets?

At BudgetBeets we want you to succeed financially. We know that knowledge is power and so we want to help you grow your knowledge and understand where your money is going so that you have the power over your financial situation. Have you asked yourself "where does all the money go?" or "how am I going to afford that?", BudgetBeets will give you the answers to the questions.

BudgetBeets allows you to divide up your paycheck into multiple spending/savings categories that you name so they are relevant to you. Once you have a category you can allocate each dollar spent to one of your categories. This allows you to spot quickly and easily categories that are overspent and need attention. Or it allows you to take comfort in the knowledge that those concert tickets are within budget. BudgetBeets can help you build the discipline of saving up over multiple paychecks for an item/holiday/renovation, which in turn can save you from the stress of high credit card or afterpay interest rates.

BudgetBeets gives you the ability to set up multiple categories of spending/saving which receive an automatic allocation of money at timing that make sense for you (e.g. weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc). You then input your expenditure against each category to track how much is remaining.

It might seem simple, but people rarely take the time to sit down and record their money going in and out, or input it into excel spreadsheets. BudgetBeets makes it as easy as Pie (code - $4, Eating Out). If you have visibility over your expenditure, it will change your habits.

We charge a modest amount monthly to be able to run this service for you, and you will save more than our annual fee with your newfound budgeting knowledge.

How can you help me?

Make informed decisions. The information you will gain by using BudgetBeets will help drive better decision making. If and when you find yourself at Bunnings (Home Depot for our American friends) really wanting to buy the latest whipper snipper (aka weed whacker, aka edge trimmer), you can whip out your phone and check the amount sitting in your Tools and Equipment savings category. If there are not enough accrued savings in that category, you'll know not to buy it. If you go ahead and buy it anyway, once you input the transaction, the category will be overspent. You'll know that that money will have to come out of another category or be built back up.

Why can't I connect to my bank account for automatic transaction syncing?

We don't want access to your bank account. We want you to be the only one with access to your bank account. By connecting an application to your internet banking, you open up security risks that we don't want you to have.

How do I input my transactions?

There are two ways to input your transactions into BudgetBeets: manually and via bulk transaction upload.

For those who prefer a manual input mode you simply hit the "Transact" button. Enter the details in the input boxes and voila! You are up to date and ready to spend and save with ease. Some people find that taking the time in the moment, or at the end of the day or week is the best way to be across their data.

If manual input is not your jam (or relish!) we have still got you covered. Simply upload your transactions in bulk and check the category allocation is correct and voila! You are also up to date and ready to spend and save with ease.

This transaction upload feature is also useful for all BudgetBeeters, even if you usually like to manually input your transactions. We can all go through hectic times and you don't have to feel disheartened if you fall behind in your tracking, catch up is easy. So don't worry if you are a BusyBeet, we've got you covered.
